I have spent a lot of my Front Desk/Management hotel career in a Tourist Coast town in Northern Oregon. We had a lot of Power outages. Sometimes the whole check in shift was done without the use of the network, internet and so on. I was looking at the different types of reports that Visual Matrix has and in the case of an emergency as in power outage you would want certain reports for information. Availability, Room status, Guest list (in house, to depart, left to arrive). However, there is not a report that shows you the rack rate for a period of time for the property. I know rates can change daily and some hotels have multiple rates. If there was a storm, and you worked at the only hotel in the area with rooms, heat, food etc., in my opinion you would want a report with some kind of rate structure for the time of year. Am I over thinking it?
