Assign Rooms Manually (MOP 2.0)

Assign Rooms Manually (MOP 2.0)

If your property does not have an automatic PMS integration that sends room assignments to MOP, room assignments must be entered manually. This process allows supervisors to assign specific rooms, duties, and verification levels to each Room Attendant for the day.
Manual room assignment allows you to:
  1. Assign specific rooms to each Room Attendant
  2. Select the appropriate duty type
  3. Confirm or adjust verification levels
This ensures accurate task distribution, proper tracking, and daily accountability.

Before You Begin

  1. Manual assignment is required for properties without PMS integration.
  2. If integrated, this option is used only when automatic assignment is not functioning as expected.
Notes
Room assignments from the previous day remain visible in MOP until new assignments are created. Once current-day assignments are added, the prior day’s assignments are automatically removed.

Accessing Manual Room Assignment

Path: Dashboard > Add Tasks

Select Manual Entry (If Integrated)
If your property is integrated with a PMS:
  1. Click Enter Task Manually
If your property is not integrated, this page is skipped automatically and you will proceed directly to manual assignment.

Select the Room Attendant
  1. Choose the first Room Attendant from the list.
  2. The employee’s verification level (Self or Supervisor) will automatically populate based on their profile.
  3. You may modify the verification level here if needed.
Notes
Verification settings determine whether the task requires supervisor review after completion.

 Choose the Duty Type
Select the duty type for each assignment line.
  1. You may select up to four different duties.
  2. The same duty may be used on multiple lines if necessary.
By default, common duties include:
  1. Due Out
  2. Refresh
  3. Checked Out
  4. Full Clean
Additional duty types are available in the dropdown list.

The available duties are the following.

Notes
The Disinfect Clean duty includes a built-in checklist in addition to the task itself.

Enter Room Numbers
Enter the room numbers for each duty line.
  1. You may input up to 15 rooms per duty line.
Ensure room numbers are entered accurately to avoid assignment errors.

Assign the Tasks
Click Add Tasks to assign the rooms to the selected Room Attendant. The rooms will immediately appear in the employee’s My Tasks list.
