Check the Registry on a Client Station (Desktop)


To identify the Device Server where the database is stored and which the client machine connects to, Visual Matrix uses the computer name set up in the Registry. The Windows Registry is a database that stores configuration settings and options for the operating system and installed applications, helping manage system operations and ensure smooth performance.

1. Open the Registry Editor. In the Windows search type "RegEdit".
2. Go to "Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Image Technology\VisualMatrix\Data".
In the example below, the server name is TRAINING3. If an IP address is provided, first ensure it matches the server's IPv4 address. Additionally, verify that the information in SharePath and DBDataSource corresponds to the server name or IP address.
