Packages can be created for guests to purchase in addition to their reservation. A good example is a Romance Package that would include the night with a dinner and a bottle of Champagne in the room. Instead of selling every item separately, the hotel can offer the package for one price.

Before Creating a Package
A package is composed of a night and others items. For each item,
Accounting Codes must be set up. They will then be added to the breakdown portion of the Package.
Create the Package
1. Select the season in the top left that you wish to create the package for.
2. Click the New button in the top right. This will open a pop-up window where you can enter the New Package information.
3. Enter a Code for reference to the package on registration cards.
4. Enter a brief Description.
5. Enter the Accounting Code for cashiering and accounting personnel to reference.
6. Enter Package # of Nights - the number of nights that guests will use the service/goods the package provides.
7. Enter the Room Revenue Discount Code that was previously set up in Accounting Code Setup if guests who purchase this package will get an override rate on their rooms.
8. Select Save.
Setup the Breakdown
Acct Code will be where you choose the accounting codes that you set up earlier. If you set up multiple codes, you will need to enter each one at a time within the package breakdown.
1. Enter rates from 1 to 6 persons to customize how much the cost is for the number of adults.
2. Per child allows you to add a cost if a child is included.
3. Post Separately indicates if the package breakdown will post as an itemized bill in the guest folio. Selecting Yes will show each item within the package on the folio. No will cause the package to post as one charge as a whole.
4. Save with the floppy disc symbol or delete the item from the breakdown using the X.
