Allowing Users to Access Channel Manager Rate Plan Mapping (Cloud)


Channel Manager rate plan mapping allows your property to link rate codes between your Channel Manager and Visual Matrix. Access to this feature is restricted and must be enabled for specific users before they can perform or modify mappings.
Path:  Management > User Settings > Security

Overview

Rate plan mapping connects:
  1. Channel Manager rate codes.
  2. Visual Matrix rate/discount codes.
This feature is:
  1. Restricted to authorized users.
  2. Not enabled by default.
  3. Required before accessing mapping tools.
Notes
Without this permission, users cannot access or modify rate mappings

Instructions

1. Select the user.



2. In the Management column, check Rate Plan Mapping.



3. When enabling access to Rate Plan Mapping, a warning message will appear: “This section gives access to add, edit, or remove rate plans. Improper setup WILL cause issues with reservations and potentially revenue.” Click OK to confirm and proceed.



4. Click Save.



Important Behavior & Rules

Restricted Access
This feature is limited to authorized users only.
High Impact Function
Incorrect mapping can prevent reservations from integrating into the system.
Permission Required First
Users must have this access before they can use Channel Manager mapping tools.
WarningHigh Impact Configuration
Any error or missing step in the mapping process may cause issues such as preventing reservations from integrating into Visual Matrix.

Important Clarification
This setting only grants access to mapping. It does not perform any mapping itself. To configure mappings, refer to Managing Rate Plan Mapping in the Channel Manager.
