FAQ - Revenue Management / Reports

Estimated Forecast Report

What does the Estimated Occupancy Forecast report show?
It displays projected room occupancy and ADR for future dates, adjusted based on a selected trend model: None, Historical Year-over-Year, or Pickup Year-over-Year.
Why do the numbers in this report differ from those in the Front Office forecast?
This report applies forecast adjustments using your selected trend model, whereas the Front Office forecast shows raw, unadjusted projections.
Can I compare forecast data against budget?
Yes. While the trend logic (e.g., historical) drives the adjustment, you can choose to display budget variance alongside the forecast.

Forecast Trend Adjustment Analysis

What is the purpose of this report?
It allows you to evaluate the accuracy of different forecast trend models (None, Historical, Budget) by comparing them to actual occupancy.
How do I use this report to choose the best model?
Run it for a past date range and compare variances between actuals and each estimate. The model with the lowest variance is typically the most accurate.
Can I test different seasons?
Yes, you can pull any historical period to assess how each model performs at different times of the year.

Rate History Report

What does this report track?
It logs all rate changes over time, whether made manually or automatically by the revenue management system.
Can I see auto-tiering changes here?
Yes. The report records all auto-tiered rate changes, showing when and how they were applied.
What is the purpose of the “Applied” and “Alert” columns?
"Applied" confirms the rate was activated; "Alert" flags potential issues, such as manual overrides or restrictions.

High Occupancy Report

What is the High Occupancy Report used for?
It highlights future dates where occupancy exceeds a user-defined threshold and shows corresponding rate and restriction settings.
What do CTA and MLOS mean in this report?
CTA (Close to Arrival) and MLOS (Minimum Length of Stay) indicate whether these restrictions are applied for each high-occupancy date.
Can I use this to verify rate level closures?
Yes. It shows which rate levels are closed or open on those high-occupancy days, helping you ensure optimal pricing strategies are in place.

Revenue Management Action Log

What actions are recorded in this report?
All rate-related system actions, including auto-tier changes, rate level openings/closures, and CTA settings.
What is the difference between Log Date and Stay Date?
Log Date is when the action was made; Stay Date is the reservation date affected by the action.
Can I filter actions by type?
Yes. You can filter by action type—Auto Tier, Rate Level Close, Open, or CTA—for clearer audits and analysis.
