Communication
The communication between Visual Matrix and Duetto is integral to maintaining accurate and optimized hotel operations. Visual Matrix uploads crucial data to Duetto, including reservation data (excluding personal information), group data, inventory levels, and hotel statistics, which are updated every night during the audit.
Visual Matrix receives important updates from Duetto, such as rate adjustments (including peak dates) and restrictions like minimum length of stay (MLOS), closed to arrival (CTA), and soft close. The information from Duetto is clearly identified within Visual Matrix descriptions, ensuring seamless integration and clarity for hotel management.
Inventory discrepancies might arise due to late check-ins, as Duetto counts these on the day of arrival (D-Day), while Visual Matrix accounts for them on the second day. Any ticket from Duetto should be escalated with the product team.
MLOS/Peak Dates can override an exception/rate plan from Duetto. If something is created by Duetto, it can be overridden locally; however, Duetto will likely override it again at the next update. To prevent this, you would need to delete the Duetto peak date and create one locally. A peak date created locally will not be overridden by Duetto for that same day.
