Two critical factors to consider are room inventory by room type and room availability by room number.
The issue does not necessarily arise from a lack of availability for a specific room type over multiple nights; instead, it may stem from the inability to assign a particular room number for those same nights.
When you encounter a situation where you cannot allocate a room number to a multi-night reservation despite having overall availability, it's often because someone has pre-blocked that room number for one or more future reservations.
To address this issue effectively, navigate to the Room Chart in the Front Office section under Reservation > Room Chart.
Within the room chart, you can sort and display only the room numbers corresponding to the needed room type.
For example, if you have room type "SKA" available for all nights, but you cannot assign a room number for a new reservation spanning multiple nights, explore the Room Chart to identify the underlying problem and necessary actions.
In this scenario, there is typically only one viable solution: either unassign or relocate the future reservation to another room number. The alternative options are to decline the reservation or relocate the guest whenever the room number becomes unavailable.
By taking these steps, as illustrated in our example below, such as moving the guest "Dupont" to another room, you can ensure that room #101 becomes available for the full duration of the reservation.
