Message "The reservation is being updated by another user"

When opening a reservation in VM Cloud, you may see the notification ‘The reservation is being updated by another user.’ This message helps prevent simultaneous edits and protects data integrity—though sometimes it appears even after the reservation is no longer in use.
This message appears when someone else is currently accessing the same reservation. Occasionally, the system may still show this even if no one is actively working on it—such as when a browser window wasn’t closed properly or there was a session timeout.
The system may not recognize that you’ve finished viewing a reservation if the session ends unexpectedly—like closing the browser without logging out or encountering a timeout. In these cases, the reservation can remain locked even when no one is actively using it.

Resolution Advice

If you encounter this message, contact the VM Client Experience team—they can reset the reservation lock. It may take a few minutes for the change to take effect on your end.

Prevention Tip

To prevent this, always log out or close your session properly rather than just closing the browser. That helps the system release the reservation and keep everyone in sync.
