This message indicates that someone is currently accessing or viewing the same reservation you are attempting to open. This situation may occur if another user is genuinely viewing the same screen simultaneously. However, there are instances when you may receive this message even when no other user is actively working on or viewing the reservation.
Indeed, if someone was previously viewing the reservation and did not close it properly (e.g., only closed the browser window), Visual Matrix will still consider that user as actively viewing the page. Similarly, if a process was interrupted before completion while someone was viewing the page, Visual Matrix will continue to consider that person as viewing the reservation. This situation can also occur in the event of a time-out, where the system may not immediately recognize that the user is no longer actively engaged with the reservation.
How to resolve it?
As of now, the only solution is to get in touch with the VM Client Experience team to have them reset the lockout on the reservation. Please note that it may take a few minutes for the update to reflect on your end.
How to avoid that type of issue?
It's crucial that when creating or viewing a reservation, users exit the website properly and not by simply closing the browser window. Exiting the website correctly helps ensure that the reservation status is updated accurately and prevents potential issues with lockouts or reservation conflicts.
