Override Weekly and Monthly Reservation Rates (Cloud)
In VM Cloud, weekly and monthly rates are defined under Management > Rates > Room Rates. When needed, you can override these rates directly in a reservation—allowing you to adjust pricing for discounts, negotiated stays, or exceptions while leaving your global rates untouched.
Path: Front Office > Reservations > Search > Open a Reservation
Instructions
1. Access Rate Details: Navigate to the Rate Information section and click Details to view the current rate breakdown influenced by your existing weekly/monthly setup.
2. Enter Custom Rate: At the bottom of the Details window, enter your new weekly or monthly rate. VM Cloud will automatically recalculate and display the adjusted daily rate based on your entry.
3. Apply the Override: Click Apply to confirm your changes.
For monthly overrides, the daily rate is recalculated using the “# of days in month” parameter defined in your Management > Rates > Seasons settings.
5. Verify the Override: Return to the reservation screen—the recalculated daily rate will now appear in the Override Rate field.
