See how a credit card was entered in Visual Matrix

When a property is using EMV, Visual Matrix does not show how the credit card was entered/captured. It will show "Y" or "N" in the "Swiped" column of the credit card details but this may not recognize every method like the contactless chip.
There is really only one way to see how a credit card was entered/captured, and this is by logging into your gateway portal and check from there.

In Visual Matrix
Open the reservation and go to the method of payment.
On VM Cloud, click on the pencil next to the credit card number; on VM Desktop, choose credit card (again) as the method of payment to open the credit card details window.
Click on View.

Here is what Visual Matrix will show in this "Swiped" column:

EY - YESCHIPSWIPED - Y - YES
CY - YESCONTACTLESS CHIPSWIPED - N - NO
MN - NOMANUALLY ENTERED / KEYEDSWIPED - N - NO
