When logging into VM University, you may have two options: entering your password or using an OTP.

What is an OTP?
A One-Time Password (OTP) is a security measure used to verify a user's identity by generating a unique, temporary code that is valid for a single login session or transaction. Delivered via SMS, email, authenticator apps, or hardware tokens, OTPs are dynamic, single-use, and time-sensitive, typically expiring within 30-60 seconds. They enhance security by preventing unauthorized access, even if a static password is compromised, and are often used in Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for added protection in online banking, e-commerce, and other sensitive applications.
