Split a Charge in a Guest Folio (Cloud) 🎥

Splitting a charge in a hotel context means dividing a single expense or transaction into multiple parts, typically for allocation to different folios or guests. This is often done to separate charges among roommates or guests with distinct payment arrangements. In Visual Matrix, you can split a charge into up to 4 parts based on percentages.

Path: Front Office > Cashiering > Guest/Group/House Account

1. Select the line item in the folio

2. Select Tools - and choose Split.

3. Decide how to split the highlighted item up to 4 different percentages to equal up to 100%.

4. Click Submit and view the split items in the folio.
