Undo an Individual Checked-In Guest (Desktop)

There are a couple of reasons why you would need or want to undo a check-in:
- The guest has just checked in but decided not to stay.
- You did the check-in by mistake and the guest has not arrived yet.
- You checked in the wrong guest/room.

Open the guest reservation and Click on Undo Check-In on the left side.


You cannot undo a check-in that has something posted on the folio. Even if everything posted has been voided, the transactions are still on the folio. In this case, the only option is to check out the room or leave it in-house until the guest arrives.
If you have done a check-in by mistake and have already done a credit card authorization, this will not be reversed if you undo the check-in. You will have to drop the authorization by posting an advance deposit and voiding it.
If you have done a check-in by mistake and have done a credit card authorization for the wrong customer, this cannot be transferred to another reservation nor will it be reversed if you undo the check-in. You will have to drop the authorization by posting an advance deposit and voiding it.
