What does it means to make a reservation "Rate Private"


What does it mean for a reservation to be Private?

Occasionally guests will book reservations online or through a travel agency. For some of those reservations, the guest pays directly through the third party upon booking and the third party then pays the hotel.
In those cases, the rate that the guest pays to the third party will not show on the reservation. The rate that is shown is what the third party pays to the hotel, minus the third party's commission fee.
When a reservation is Private, the rate will not show on the Registration card but will show on the folio. Folios for third-party reservations should not be given to the guest. If the guest requires a folio, they will have to seek one through who they paid: the OTA (Expedia) or the Travel Agency.

Setting up a Rate Private

The Private set up for a rate/discount code is in the discount code setup.
Path: Management > Rates > Discounts > Setup


For an online reservation, the Rate Private status has to be set up in the Discount code set up screen and in the Channel Manager interface. For the second one, contact our Client Experience Team.

How to charge Guest's Incidentals?

Any incidentals should be posted on the B Folio.
