Mark Room as Do Not Disturb from PBX (Cloud)

Mark Room as Do Not Disturb from PBX (Cloud)

This feature requires an active PBX interface.
The Do Not Disturb (DND) feature allows staff to mark a guest room as unavailable for service through the PBX interface in Visual Matrix Cloud. This helps front desk and housekeeping teams respect guest privacy and avoid unnecessary interruptions.
Path: Front Office > Reservations > PBX > Guest
Info
The PBX setting only flags that the guest has activated the DND tag — it does not control the room hardware or phone system. If your property had a live PBX operator, they would use the PBX screen to check room status before making calls, and the DND flag would simply indicate the guest does not wish to be disturbed.

Instructions

1. Search for the guest by entering their name or selecting the room number.

Notes
Use the GroupArrival, or Departure sub-sections only to search for guests. After selecting one, the system automatically returns to the Guest tab.

2. Click the DND OFF icon to mark the room as Do Not Disturb — the icon will change to a red DND indicator. To remove DND status, click the red DND icon again — it will toggle back.

Notes
If the DND icon does not change, check that the PBX interface is connected and the room is listed as In-House.
