Setup an Online Rate Plan Tax Exempt (BW) (Cloud)

Some States requires OTA's (like Expedia) to collect taxes and remit them directly to the States on behalf of hosts (hotels) on any reservations paid directly to the OTAs. The hotel normally charges the OTAs the amount the client paid online minus their commission. In those States, the hotel will only charge the OTAs for the room charge minus the commission but no tax. The OTAs being the one remitting the tax to the State on behalf of the hotel.
Path: Management > Interfaces > All Interfaces > Click on Best Western 2 Way.

1. Go to Rate Plan Setup on the right side (first option from the top of the toolbox).
2. Find the rate/discount code.
3. Click on Tax Exempt at the end of the line (scroll right if it is not visible).



4. Check the taxe(s) to exempt.



5. Enter a tax exemption reason.



6. Click Save.
