Setup Credit Card Authorization Day(s) Prior Arrival (Cloud)
Setting the "Days Prior" parameter with "1" means that during the audit, every card for the next day's arrivals will be authorized for the entire stay or first night, depending on the specified setting. It's important to note that these authorizations will be considered as manual and won't offer chargeback protection. While some processors may charge more for manual authorizations, Visual Matrix does not perform this action.
Path: Management > Interfaces > All Interfaces > Select your Credit Card Gateway

For a new reservation, if the audit date calculated by adding the number specified in the "Days Prior" setting is greater than the arrival date, Visual Matrix will automatically attempt to obtain an authorization.
For example: If the current date is November 29 (11/29/23), and you have set up "Future Authorization" to 1 day prior, creating a reservation for the same day, November 29 (11/29/23), will prompt the system to directly attempt an authorization. This is because November 29 is before November 30 (11/29 + 1), and according to the settings, an authorization should have already been obtained through the audit. Because it hasn't, the system initiates the authorization process.
