Visual Matrix to SynXis Interface Capabilities

This article outlines how Visual Matrix PMS interacts with SynXis CRS to exchange reservation, rate, inventory, and restriction data. It helps clients understand what updates can be expected, how quickly they reflect, and what must be correctly configured.

Key Capabilities

A. Data Sent FROM Visual Matrix TO SynXis:
- Reservation Sync – Includes new reservations, modifications, cancellations
- Rate Updates – Applies to updates in RACK and associated rate plans
- Inventory Uploads – Availability at the room-type level
- Restrictions – Open/Close rules, minimum stay rules

B. Data Sent FROM SynXis TO Visual Matrix:
- Reservation Delivery – Includes complete stay details (e.g., check-in/out, no-show status, guest profile, rate changes)
- Guest Profiles – Includes loyalty info, special requests, travel agency, payment method

Supported Restriction Logic

- Hotel-Level, Room Type-Level, Rate Plan-Level
- Restriction Types: Open/Close to Stay, Arrival, Departure; Min LOS by Arrival or Stay Through

Timing Expectations

- Updates typically reflect in SynXis within 30–60 minutes of being pushed from VM.
- Rate updates should follow Parent → Derived sequence (see Article 8).

Client Guidance

- Confirm SynXis rate codes and room types match expected naming conventions.
- Ensure SynXis setup packet is thoroughly completed and shared.
