Windows 10 End of Life – Important Notice for VM Customers

Windows 10 End of Life – Important Notice for VM Customers

Microsoft will end all support for Windows 10 in October 2025. After this date, Windows 10 computers will stop receiving security updates, leaving them vulnerable to serious risks. To remain compliant and protect guest data, all hotels must take action now to move away from Windows 10.

What You Need to Know

After October 2025, Windows 10 computers will no longer receive security patches.
Running VM PMS (Cloud or Desktop) on outdated systems increases your hotel’s exposure to security threats.
Hotels continuing to use Windows 10 beyond this date will be considered non-compliant with security best practices.

For VM Cloud Customers

Even though VM Cloud runs through your browser, computers still need to be on supported operating systems. Using Windows 10 after October 2025 creates a security liability for your property.

For VM Desktop Customers

If your hotel uses VM Desktop PMS and you plan to upgrade Windows 10 computers instead of replacing them:
Warning
Contact Visual Matrix Support BEFORE attempting the upgrade.
This step is critical to ensure system compatibility and to prevent problems with your PMS environment.

Required Action

- Identify any computers at your property still running Windows 10.
- Plan to replace or upgrade these machines before October 2025.
- Contact Visual Matrix Support if you will be upgrading existing Desktop PMS computers.

Still need help with this topic?

Ask Yourself:
- Am I still using Windows 10 computers at my property?
- Do I understand the risks of running Windows 10 after October 2025?
- If I use VM Desktop PMS, have I contacted Support before upgrading?

Support May Ask You:
- How many computers at your property are still on Windows 10?
- Are you using VM Cloud PMS or VM Desktop PMS?
- Do you plan to replace or upgrade these computers?
