Assign Rooms Manually (Cloud) 🎥
Manual room assignment involves staff members manually selecting and assigning specific rooms to housekeepers based on various factors. It is a traditional method used alongside automated systems for room allocation.
Path: Housekeeping > Room Assign > Room Assignment
1. Click "Refresh" to generate the data on the page.
2. Select the housekeeper you are assigning rooms to.
The number of rooms that shows by default next to the name is the number of rooms that were assigned the previous time.
3. Double-click on each room number you want to assign to this housekeeper.
4. Click on the green floppy disk on the right to save.
Rooms number with the extension "-c" are rooms In Change status - aka sheets to be changed. Rooms number with the extension "-m" are rooms Make status - aka bed to be made, sheets do not need to be changed.
Room numbers in yellow are Due Outs. Room numbers in white are Stay Overs.
Room numbers in green are assigned to the selected housekeeper. Room numbers in red are already assigned to another housekeeper.
5. Once assigned, the room number will turn green.
6. Switch Housekeepers.
7. Continue to assign rooms. Rooms in red are already assigned to another housekeeper and cannot be assigned.
8. Click on the green floppy disk on the right to save.
If a room is not assigned for cleaning on a given day, its cleaning schedule will not simply shift to the next day. Instead, it will advance to the next scheduled cleaning type. For example, if a room is set to "Change" every two days and "Make" on the alternate days, skipping one day of cleaning will still move it forward to the next planned condition in the sequence.
