Setup Primary and Secondary Database Backups (Desktop) 🎥

Visual Matrix does not store any backup, neither does any remote backup of your data. The Software does multiple backups automatically and every backups is duplicated and setup to save on the server hard drive and on an external drive.
A pre-audit backup is done before the audit as well as a post-audit backup after the audit. These backups are overwritten every 7 days. A post-audit backup is done after the last audit of the last day of the month as well than after the last audit of the last day of the year. Those backups are

The primary backups (Daily, Monthly, and Yearly) are set up to automatically save on the server hard drive. This location should not be changed.
The secondary backups (Daily, Monthly, and Yearly) are set up to automatically save on an external hard drive. This location should be setup.
Click on "Browse" located on the right side, and select the location by choosing the destination drive. Optionally, create a subfolder if desired, then click "OK" to confirm your selection.
Using USB key drives for daily backups is not recommended due to their limited durability and suitability for frequent usage. It is highly advisable to invest in an external hard drive for this purpose, with even the most basic options being sufficient for most needs.
