When a guest has been flagged as “Do Not Rent,” standard check-in is blocked by default. If a reservation still exists for such a guest, a warning pop-up appears during check-in to ensure staff are aware of the restriction. This protects property policy, helps prevent unauthorized rentals, and ensures accountability. If you choose to override, a bypass is recorded in the Reservation Modification Log, including which user approved it.
Path: Dashboard > Arrivals > Open the Reservation > Start the Check-In
1. If a reservation exists for a guest flagged as “Do Not Rent,” a warning pop-up will appear when attempting check-in. You’ll be able to choose to Proceed with Check-In (override the “Do Not Rent” status) or Return to the Reservation (to modify or cancel).
This pop-up must be acknowledged before you can continue check-in, reminding you that the guest profile is marked “Do Not Rent".
2. If you proceed with check-in despite the “Do Not Rent” status, Visual Matrix records a bypass in the Reservation Modification Log (“Res Mod Log”). The entry will name the user who approved it, helping maintain an auditable trail.
