Generate Electronic Key (Cloud)

The Electronic Key Interface is only available on VM Cloud. Visual Matrix interfaces with three electronic key vendors: dormakaba, Assa Abloy and MIWA.
Path 1: Front Office > Reservations > Search and open the reservation.
Path 2: Front Office > Supervisor > Res Mgmt.

Three ways of creating electronic keys

A. By using Room Key in the toolbox.
B. By using Room Key in the Stay Details section.
C. Through Res Mgmt in Front Office Supervisor.



Create an electronic key

1. Once you clicked on Room Key, the "Key Creation" window will prompt. The Room number and the Departure Date will be auto-populated from the reservation at the bottom of the window.
2. Choose the key type (New key or a duplicate), the number of key you need to create and the Encoder (which will depend on the interface you are using).
3. Click Create Key.
4. The encoder will ask you to insert as many key card to encode than the number your requested above.
