Auto Incidental Folio Creation for Online Rate Private Reservations (Cloud)
This feature is only available in VM Cloud.
Introducing an incidental (B folio) option for prepaid reservations allows guests to conveniently use their credit or debit card for miscellaneous expenses like room service. This provides guests with transparency and a record of their additional charges. For third-party reservations, often covering only the room and tax, it streamlines the creation of a folio to track extra costs. The card hold is released upon checkout, minus any incurred charges. This parameter will automatically generate separate 'A folio' for 'Room & Tax' and 'B folio' for 'Incidental' charges for all online 'Rate Private' reservations.
Path: Management > Property Settings > Parameters > Section "Parameters" (right side)
1. Last parameter of the list, check the box for "Allow Incidental Folio".
2. Click the green floppy disk at the top right to save the page modification.
3. Now make sure all the discount codes/rate plans are marked "Private" in your Channel Manager Rate Plan mapping.
