Auto Incidental Folio Creation for Online Rate Private Reservations (Cloud)
This feature is only available in VM Cloud.
Enabling an incidental (B folio) for prepaid reservations lets guests use their card for extras like room service, offering transparency and charge records. For third-party reservations covering only room and tax, it simplifies tracking additional costs. The card hold is released at checkout, minus any charges. This setting automatically creates separate 'A folio' for 'Room & Tax' and 'B folio' for 'Incidental' charges on all online 'Rate Private' reservations and must be enabled in the channel manager rate plan mapping window.
Path: Management > Property Settings > Parameters > Section "Parameters" (right side)
1. Last parameter of the list, check the box for "Allow Incidental Folio".
2. Click the green floppy disk at the top right to save the page modification.
3. Now make sure all the discount codes/rate plans are marked "Private" in your Channel Manager Rate Plan mapping.
