Generating the Report
1. This report is generated by applying filters that narrow the scope of reservation modifications you want to review. Use the filters along the top of the report to refine your results:
- Set the date or date range for modifications you want to see.
- Filter by operator/user/agent to review actions by specific staff.
- Use the field filter to specify a field or data value you want to focus on (60+ options).
- Enter a specific word or value to limit results to text matches.
2. Click Refresh to update the report.
Understanding the Report
The Res Mod Log report provides a detailed listing of all reservation modifications captured within your filter criteria, showing the before and after values for each change.
Modification Source
- Operator/User/Agent: The staff member or process that made the modification (e.g., system “Admin” may appear for automated actions).
- Date of Modification: The calendar date when the modification occurred.
- Local Time of Modification: The time the change was made, per your system clock.
Reservation Identification
- VM Confirmation/CRS Number: Reservation confirmation or external channel reference.
- Guest Name: The name on the reservation that was modified.
Change Details
- Field/Information Modified: The specific reservation field that was changed (e.g., arrival date, rate).
- Old Value: The value before the modification.
- New Value: The updated value after the modification.
Tips & Use Cases
- Investigate who, when, and what was changed on a reservation.
- Identify patterns of modification (e.g., frequent date changes).
- Compare before/after values to confirm correct edits were applied.
- Use field filters to isolate specific types of changes.
