Canary Technologies provides the hospitality industry’s leading technology solutions for hotels, resorts and other lodging properties. Their products are specifically engineered for hoteliers by industry veterans and designed to help hotel operators grow into the future.
To collaborate with Canary Technologies using Visual Matrix, the initial step involves creating an account with Canary. They are responsible for initiating communication with VM PMS once your account is set up. There are no fees associated with Visual Matrix (VM).

Current Integration Capabilities
- Digital Tipping.
Guest Messaging (Chats with the customer happen in Canary, not in VM).
Digital Credit Card Authorization Form: Hotels can use Canary to perform digital fraud verification with the guest. Once Canary verifies the card is valid, it updates the card information on the reservation through the interface.
- Guest Information Sharing: Canary pulls guest information directly from VM.
- Comments Integration: Canary can push comments into the reservation within VM.
- Digital Pre-Check-In: When a guest completes digital pre-check-in through Canary, the reservation in VM updates to a “Pre-Reg” status instead of HLD (Hold) or GTD (Guaranteed).
- Upsells: If a guest requests an upsell in Canary, the hotel must verify and approve the upsell in Canary’s system. Once approved, Canary sends the charge directly to the folio in VM.
