Enter Credit Card Voice Auth (Cloud)

A credit card voice authorization can be utilized either from the reservation's "Payment Info" section to confirm an authorization for the stay or directly from the folio to post a payment.
Path1: Front Office > Search (for a reservation) > Open the Reservation > Scroll down to the "Payment Info" Section > Either select "Credit Card", if not already selected or click on the pencil
Path2: Front Office > Cashiering > Guest/Group/House Account > Open a Folio or Account > Post a credit card payment from "Detail Posting"
The screenshot below are based on the second path, posting from a folio, but the only difference will be that instead of showing "Charge" at the top, it will show "Authorize".
1. Make sure you have the credit card or token number and the expiration date.
2. Click on Voice Auth and enter the Auth code given by your credit card processor.


The Auth ID that you find after you clicked on "View" next to the Expiration date IS NOT an Auth Code.


3. Click Authorize.
4. Once "Voice Authorization Complete", Click OK.


It's crucial to emphasize that the voice authorization is not instantly verified. Even if an arbitrary number is entered during this process, it will confirm the authorization. However, when the batch settlement is conducted, the charge will be declined. This occurs because the authorization code wasn't officially issued by the processor and, as a result, is not recognized during the batch settlement.
