The ID Scanner is designed to scan the 2D barcode on an ID, and if an ID has multiple barcode strips, all of them will be recognized. If the ID Scanner is continuously ON (with a constant red light), it will actively search for any additional barcodes to scan at all times, including the 1D barcode that can sometimes be found on the side of some IDs. Please note that the 1D barcode does not contain any information and can be located on the ID's side.

1. To prevent accidental scanning of the 1D barcode, ensure it is hidden or obstructed. You can place your finger in front of it as an extra precaution.
2. The ID Scanner tends to work more consistently when scanning from top to bottom or bottom to top rather than from side to side.
