Import Room Assignments (Opera) (MOP)

Import Room Assignments (Opera) (MOP)

When MOP is integrated with Opera PMS, room assignments are typically created within Opera and then imported into MOP for housekeeping staff. This integration allows housekeeping managers to assign rooms in Opera and quickly transfer those assignments into MOP without manually recreating them. MOP and Opera also maintain a two-way synchronization, which means room status changes are automatically shared between both systems. Examples include:
  1. A room checked out in Opera updates in MOP.
  2. A room marked Clean in MOP updates in Opera.
  3. Room status changes remain synchronized across both platforms.
This integration helps improve efficiency, reduce duplicate data entry, and ensure housekeeping staff are working with current room information.

How the Opera Integration Works

The Opera integration follows a simple workflow:
  1. Rooms are assigned to Room Attendants in Opera PMS.
  2. The assignments are imported into MOP.
  3. Housekeeping staff complete their tasks in MOP.
  4. Room status updates are synchronized between both systems.
This process ensures both Opera and MOP remain aligned throughout the day.

Import Opera Room Assignments

1. Assign the rooms in Opera.
2. Click "Import Opera Hk Tasks".

Successful Import

If the import completes successfully, a confirmation notification will appear.
Example
"25 Opera Tasks Have Been Added"
The notification displays the number of room assignments successfully imported.
Once imported:
  1. Tasks are assigned to the designated Room Attendants.
  2. Rooms appear on employee task lists.
  3. Housekeeping work can begin immediately.

Import Errors

If the import encounters any issues, MOP will display an error message.
Example Error
Error in Rooms Status Sync. The Following Rooms Are Not Assigned
This message indicates that one or more rooms could not be imported successfully. Rooms that are reflected as errors can be manually assigned in MOP.
