New Public IP / New Internet Service Provider (Cloud)

New Public IP / New Internet Service Provider (Cloud)

The Cloud PMS is secured by an IP Security that locks the access to your Cloud for the ethernet network of your property. It is a security to make sure that no one outside of the hotel network will be able to get access to your data, except if you give this user the permission. The IP that is locked on is the Public IP of your network.

Your Public IP is given by your ISP. Two users of the same ISP will not have the same public IP; as well, your ethernet network and your wi-fi do not have the same public IP. The most common case is when the property changes its ISP (Internet Service Provider) and by doing that changes its public IP. With VM Cloud being locked on the previous IP, every user, who do not have remote access will be locked out.

To get VM Cloud to recognize the new public IP, you only need to restart your broker service.
