Refreshing Your Microsoft Edge Browser for Optimal VM Cloud Performance

If you notice unusual behavior in VM Cloud, such as abnormal graphics or functionality, the first step is to refresh your browser.

Perform a Hard Refresh

A hard refresh forces the browser to reload the most updated version of a webpage by clearing the cache for that page.
Before clearing the browser's entire cache, try performing a hard refresh using the following methods:
- Hold down Ctrl (Control) + Shift and click R.
- Hold down Ctrl (Control) and click the Reload button in the browser.
- Hold down Ctrl (Control) and press F5.

Clearing Cookies and Cache

- Click on the three dots at the top right corner of Edge, then click on History > History.

- Click on "Delete Browsing Data".

- Set the Time Range to All Time.
- Usually everything about passwords, permissions or auto-fill are unchecked. What really needs to be checked is the browsing and download histoiry as well as cookies and caches images and files.
- Click "Clear now".

- Close and reopen your browser for the changes to take effect.

Check for Edge Updates

VM Cloud works best when browsers like Microsoft Edge are up to date. Edge needs to be regularly updated to ensure proper functionality. If an update is available, you will see an icon indicating this at the top right of your Edge browser. Click on Update and restart the browser.

Manual Update Check

- Click on the three dots at the top right corner of Edge, then select Help and feedback > About Microsoft Edge.

- If an update is available, Edge will automatically begin updating. Once complete, restart your browser.
