Set Up and Modify Auto-Start Tax Exemption (Cloud)
Path: Management > Property Settings > Taxes
1. Minimum of Nights are required before being Tax Exempt
You will set up the number of nights in the Revenue Tax Codes section after which the room revenue will be automatically tax-exempt on the guest folio.
If the guest stays longer than this number of nights, only the nights posted after will be tax-exempt. The system will not override previous postings.
2. Complementary and Free Nights
Next, you need to choose if you want to consider the Complementary and Free nights as Exempt Taxes, meaning they will show on your Tax Exempt report.
Check the Comp Nights and Free Night boxes if you do.
3. Save changes
