Week-End Definition (Cloud)
The Weekend Definition setting determines which days are considered weekend days for rate configuration purposes. These selections are used when creating and managing rates that differentiate between weekday and weekend pricing.

Understanding the Weekend Definition Setting
By default, rates in Visual Matrix Cloud can be configured using the same pricing for all days of the week.
The Weekend Definition setting allows properties to identify which days should be treated as weekend days when configuring rates that use separate weekday and weekend pricing.
Using Weekend Pricing
Properties are not required to define weekend days.
If no days are selected in the Weekend Definition section, all days are treated the same for rate pricing purposes. In this scenario, rates can be configured using a single price regardless of the day of the week.
Weekend days only need to be defined when the property wants to use different pricing for weekday and weekend stays.
Selecting Weekend Days
Choose the days that should be considered part of the property's weekend pricing structure.
Common examples include:
- Friday and Saturday.
- Saturday and Sunday.
- Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
However, properties can select any combination of days that aligns with their business model, market demand, or pricing strategy.
How Weekend Days Are Used
Weekend definitions are used by rate configurations that support separate weekday and weekend pricing.
For example, a property may configure:
- A weekday rate for Sunday through Thursday.
- A weekend rate for Friday and Saturday.
Once weekend days have been defined, those days become available when configuring rate structures that differentiate between weekday and weekend pricing.
Save Changes
After modifying the Weekend Definition settings, click Save at the top of the page to store your changes. Unsaved changes will not be applied to the property configuration.
