Date and Time Settings (Cloud)

The Date and Time settings control how dates, times, and language preferences are displayed throughout Visual Matrix Cloud. These settings help ensure reports and system information align with your property's location and regional preferences.
Path: Management > Property Settings > Parameters > Date and Time



Default System Language

The Default System Language setting controls the language used for selected reports, including Night Audit re-print reports.
This setting does not change the language of the Visual Matrix Cloud application. User interface language preferences are configured individually for each user in Management > User Settings.
Available options include: English, Spanish, and French.
Notes
This setting only affects supported reports and does not translate menus, screens, or system functions.

Date Format

The Date Format setting determines how dates are displayed throughout Visual Matrix Cloud and on applicable reports.
Common formats include:
  1. MM/DD/YY
  2. DD/MM/YY
  3. YY/MM/DD
Examples - July 15, 2026:
  1. MM/DD/YY = 07/15/26 (Month, Day, Year)
  2. DD/MM/YY = 15/07/26 (Day, Month, Year)
  3. YY/MM/DD = 26/07/15 (Year, Month, Day)
Notes
Select the format that best matches your property's regional standards and reporting preferences.

Week Starts On

The Week Starts On setting determines which day is treated as the beginning of the week throughout applicable calendars and reporting views.
Available options include: Sunday or Monday
Notes
This setting may affect how weekly information is displayed in certain reports and screens.

Time Zone

The Time Zone setting configures the property's local time zone.
The selected time zone is used throughout Visual Matrix Cloud and affects reports and reporting screens that display date and time information.
Choose the time zone that matches the property's physical location.
Notes
After selecting the correct time zone, enable Use Daylight Savings Time if daylight saving time is observed in your region.

Use Daylight Saving Time

The Use Daylight Saving Time option enables daylight saving time adjustments for the property's configured time zone.
When enabled, the system automatically incorporates daylight saving time into date and time calculations.
Notes
If this setting was not enabled initially and is selected later, applicable reports will automatically reflect the updated time configuration.

Save Changes

After making any changes to the Date and Time settings, click Save at the top of the page to apply your updates.
