Recognizing returning or high-value guests is an important part of delivering personalized service. Visual Matrix Cloud allows you to assign a VIP status to a guest profile so staff can easily identify guests who may require special attention, amenities, or service preferences. Once applied, the VIP designation appears whenever the guest profile is used during reservation creation or check-in.
Path: Sales and Marketing > Guest Profiler > Search > Open the Guest Profile
The VIP status can also be assigned directly from a reservation by updating the Guest Type in the guest’s profile information. This option is available as long as the reservation has not been checked out.
Instructions
The VIP status is stored in the guest profile and can be applied either from the Guest Profiler in Sales & Marketing or directly from a reservation when editing the guest’s profile information.
1. Scroll to the Marketing Information section, and locate the Guest Type field.
2. Select VIP from the dropdown list.
3. Click Save. The guest profile will now display the VIP status.
3. The number of VIP arrival can be seen from the dashboard tiles.
How the VIP Status Appears in Reservations
When a guest profile marked VIP is selected during reservation creation or check-in, the VIP designation becomes visible to staff. This allows the front desk and operations teams to quickly recognize guests who may require special attention or services. Common uses of the VIP status include:
- Identifying repeat or loyal guests.
- Flagging guests who receive special amenities.
- Notifying staff to provide enhanced service.
The VIP label does not restrict reservations or create system warnings; it simply highlights the guest’s status for operational awareness.
