This Article requires a pinpad with signature capture activated.
Having a device with signature capture capabilities saves you the need to print a registration card. The capture might be on the pinpad, it works with any method of payment.
1. Start the Check-In by selecting the method of payment:
- if payment by credit card, complete the credit card authorization.
- if payment cash, enter any cash payment paid.
- if payment covered by a city ledger account, select the city ledger.
2. The following message will popup: "Bypass Acceptance Terms and Signature". These "Terms and Signature" are the terms the client would sign on the registration card paper.
3. Click "NO".
If you click "Yes", the guest will not sign the terms on the pinpad device and will have to sign on the paper version.
4. Ask the guest to check the "Acknowledge" box and click "Accept".
5. The guest will sign.
6. The signature will show on your screen. Click Ok.
7. Complete the check-in
- if payment by credit card, complete the credit card authorization.
- if payment cash, enter any cash payment paid.
- if payment covered by a city ledger account, select the city ledger again.
8. The signature is now on the reg card and can be printed at any time.
