Currency and Accounting Settings (Cloud)

The Financial section includes settings that define the property's currency configuration and accounting structure. These settings help ensure financial information is displayed correctly throughout Visual Matrix Cloud and align with the property's accounting practices.
Path: Management > Property Settings > Parameters > Financial

Currency Symbol

The Currency Symbol setting determines how monetary values are displayed throughout Visual Matrix Cloud.
Common examples include:
  1. $ (Dollar)
  2. € (Euro)
  3. £ (Pound)
Notes
The selected symbol is used throughout the PMS, including reservations, folios, payments, and reports.

Currency Code

The Currency Code setting defines the currency code associated with the property.
Common examples include:
  1. USD (United States Dollar)
  2. EUR (Euro)
  3. GBP (British Pound)
Notes
This setting should correspond to the currency used by the property.

Number of Accounting Periods

The # Of Acct Periods setting determines the number of accounting periods used by the property for financial reporting.
Most properties use a traditional 12-month accounting calendar. However, accounting periods can be configured to match ownership requirements, accounting practices, or local regulations.
Notes
The selected value should reflect the property's accounting structure.

Save Changes

After modifying any setting in the Financial section, click Save at the top of the page to store your changes. Unsaved changes will not be applied to the property configuration.
