FAQ - Revenue Management / Manual Enhanced (PMS)

Is this a full revenue management system?
No. The Manual Enhanced screen is a basic revenue management support tool. It provides insights and suggestions but does not offer predictive analytics or automation per room type. For more advanced needs, consider a full revenue management system.
What does the color coding (green, yellow, red) mean on the Manual Enhanced screen?
- Green means your current rate tier is aligned with the system's expectations based on various data points (occupancy, historicals, competitor rates, etc.).

- Yellow indicates that one of your selected competitors is sold out (if alerts are enabled).

- Red signals that your rate may be out of alignment, and the system recommends a different tier for that date.
What data does the system use to determine the recommended rate tier?
The system analyzes several factors:
- Your current rate
- Forecasted occupancy (low, medium, high)
- On-the-books reservations
- Last year’s historical data
- Competitor rates (if configured)
- Optional: weather data (for U.S. hotels only; displayed, not calculated)
Can I apply different tiers for different room types on the Manual Enhanced screen?
No. The Manual Enhanced screen applies the selected tier to all room types for the selected date. If you need to set different tiers per room type, use the Manual Tiering screen instead.
Where does the weather data come from, and does it affect rate calculations?
Weather data is pulled from NOAA.gov (U.S. properties only). It is for reference only and does not influence the rate tier recommendations or calculations.
What should I do when I see a red alert for a specific date?
A red alert indicates the system suggests a different tier for that day. You have two options:
- Accept the system's suggestion by checking the box and clicking Process
- Override the recommendation by selecting your own tier and clicking Process
