When a group must shift their entire stay to new dates (not merely extend or trim existing dates), use the Move button so that all picked-up reservations in the group are rescheduled together. This method helps maintain inventory integrity and ensures consistency, especially when using a Channel Manager. Choosing to manually change dates separately risks misalignment in availability, reservation overlaps, or channel sync errors.
Path: Front Office > Group > Search > Open the Group
Instructions
1. Go to the Stay Details section of the group.
2. Click the Move button located next to the Arrival Date field.
4. In the prompt, click the date field and select the new arrival date from the calendar that appears.
5. Click Move to apply the change.
After clicking Move, all picked-up reservations in the group will be updated to the new dates in a synchronized batch. The system adjusts inventory and origin/destination scheduling accordingly.
Still Need Help With This Topic?
Ask Yourself:
- Did I open the correct group reservation?
- Is the new stay period free of conflicting allocations or inventory issues?
- Do all rooms in the group need to shift, or only future reservations?
- Does the channel manager integration require any manual checks afterward?
Support May Ask You:
- What is the Group ID and current vs new stay dates?
- How many picked-up reservations will be affected?
- Did any checked-in reservations block the move?
- Did you receive any error messages when clicking Move?
- Did you confirm the new dates didn’t create overbooking?
