Reason for Stay will assist in understanding the purpose behind your guests' visit to your property, such as leisure, sports, conferences, business, and more
Path: Sales & Marketing > Setup
1. The Reason for Stay setup is at the bottom left of the page.
2. Check the "Required" box if you wish to mandate the selection for the Reason for Stay for each new reservation.
3. If you opt not to select the "Required" box above, designate a default Reason for Stay that will be automatically filled in upon saving the reservation.
4. Go to the last line to create a reason for stay:
- Enter a code for this new market. The Reason for Stay is the only segment that
can have a customized possibility through the code OTHER in case there
is no matching reason. If this segment is chosen in a reservation, it
will prompt a open field to add the reason. A report of those "Other" reasons
can be found in Front Office > Supervisor > Reason for Stay.
- Enter a description for this new market.
- Check the "Active" box.
Warning on deactivating or deleting a Reason for Stay.
If
you do not use a segment, you may be tempted to deactivate it.
Before doing so, make sure it is not in use in the 2way interface. If
the code is deactivated while used or is missing in a setup, it will
cause bookings not to be integrated into Visual Matrix.
