Set Up Company Category Codes (Cloud)


Company Category Codes allow you to organize and classify company profiles based on their business type or relationship with your property, such as corporate accounts, local businesses, or negotiated accounts. Setting up Company Category Codes helps streamline company management, improve reporting, and make it easier to filter and analyze company-related data.

Instructions

Company Category Codes are used to group company profiles into defined categories for easier organization and reporting.

1. To create a new Company Category Code, go to the last available row in the list, and enter the following information:
  1. Code: Short identifier for the category
  2. Description: Name of the category (e.g., Corporate, Local Business, Government)
2. Click the Save (floppy disk) icon to store the new code.



Using Company Category Codes

Once created, Company Category Codes can be assigned to company profiles.

To apply a code:
  1. Open a Company Profile
  2. Select the appropriate Category Code
  3. Click Save to apply the change


Understanding Company Category Codes

Company Category Codes are used to:
  1. Group similar companies together
  2. Improve filtering when searching for companies
  3. Support reporting and analysis of company's production

  1. Company Category Codes: classify company profiles
  2. Market Segment: type of business for a reservation
  3. Referral Code: how the reservation was booked
  4. Reason for Stay: why the guest is staying
