When the “Clerk” field in the reservation's modification (Mod) log shows “Admin,” it doesn’t mean a user did it—it signifies an automatic process. Whether it’s an online-generated reservation or a cancellation, Visual Matrix handles these actions itself via system automation.
"Admin" indicates a system action—not necessarily an employee or technician.
System-Generated Reservations
Reservations created via OTAs or channel managers show “Admin” because they are retrieved by the system—no user is involved.
Automatic Online Cancellations
Cancellations made online will display “Admin” as the clerk too, since they're processed automatically by the system.
Refunds for Advance Deposits
If a cancellation is done online and an advance deposit exists, the system automatically refunds using the original payment method. Since it's automated, "Admin" appears as the clerk.
