Bring Tasks from the PMS (MOP 2.0)
When your property is integrated with a Property Management System (PMS), housekeeping duties are assigned within the PMS first. MOP does not determine the duty type — it pulls the assigned room activity and duties directly from the PMS.
Using the Add Tasks function allows MOP to retrieve the most recent room activity and assigned duties (such as Due Out, Refresh, or Full Clean). This ensures that task assignments in MOP accurately reflect what was designated in the PMS while reducing manual room entry.
If tasks are not appearing as expected, the issue is often related to PMS update timing or reservation synchronization delays.
Navigate to Add Tasks
From the Dashboard, select Add Tasks.
If your property is PMS integrated, this page will allow you to bring in duties that were already assigned in the PMS.
Trigger the PMS Import
Click the button to bring tasks into MOP
- Add Visual Matrix Tasks
When triggered, MOP will:
- Pull room numbers from the PMS
- Pull assigned duty types
- Create corresponding tasks in MOP
MOP does not change or reassign the duty type during this process. It mirrors what was designated in the PMS.

Once the tasks have been successfully imported, the following confirmation message will appear:
Review the Imported Tasks
Once the import completes:
- Tasks appear in MOP with the duty assigned in the PMS
- Tasks can be assigned to Room Attendants
- Supervisors can review or modify assignments if needed
If adjustments are required, they can be made using:
- RA Monitor
- Edit Task
What If Tasks Do Not Appear?
If expected tasks are missing, check the following:
- Has the room status been updated in the PMS?
- Has the guest officially checked out (if applicable)?
- Has the Add Tasks function been triggered today?
- Is there a known PMS update or sync delay?
Some PMS systems may require a brief delay before updated room activity becomes available to MOP.
Still Need Help With This Topic?
Ask Yourself:
- Was the duty correctly assigned in the PMS?
- Has the PMS updated the room status?
- Did I run Add Tasks after the PMS update?
Support May Ask You:
- What PMS is integrated?
- What room number is missing?
- What time was Add Tasks triggered?
- Has this been working previously?
- Is this a new integration or recent configuration change?
