Create New Regrets Loss of Business (Cloud) šŸŽ„

Loss of business refers to revenue the property expected to receive but ultimately did not realize. In Visual Matrix, one type of loss of business is a regret—a booking inquiry that does not convert into a confirmed reservation. Tracking regrets helps your property understand why potential guests choose not to book and identify patterns that may impact sales or revenue.
The Create New Regrets screen allows your property to build the list of regret reasons used throughout the system. These reasons appear when recording a regret and later when reviewing the Regrets Loss of Business report. Creating clear, meaningful regret reasons ensures accurate reporting and useful business insights.

Instructions

1. Select the Regret option to open the list of regret reasons used when recording lost bookings.



2. In the Regret Reason field on the right panel, enter the name of the new regret reason you want to add. Choose clear and meaningful names to ensure accurate reporting later.



3. Click Add to save the new regret reason.



4. The reason will now appear in the list and will be available when recording regrets or generating the Regrets Loss of Business report.


Warning
Regret reasons cannot be deleted once created, so ensure the names are accurate before adding them.
