Occasionally, Visual Matrix's Availability screen may show room count totals that do not reflect the current state, either for the entire inventory or specific room types. This can happen when individual reservations or group allocations are modified, such as being canceled, dropped, or picked up, leading to an update delay on the availability screen. The Res Matrix is essentially a database of all rooms and their statuses in the hotel, contributing to the Availability screen's information.
To ensure the availability screen displays accurate room totals, you can use the "Rebuild Res Matrix" function available in the Front Office Supervisor section. This feature is designed to synchronize the availability screen with the current room data. After executing the rebuild, the room counts should align correctly.
Rebuilding the Res Matrix is a simple process that can be performed by authorized personnel, ensuring the accuracy of your room availability data.
