Close Rate Plan(s) Inventory for Online Sales (Cloud)
Visual Matrix's room management system includes automated processes for handling room availability. When a room type is sold out, it is automatically closed, and when a room becomes available, it is automatically reopened, which is based on settings within the channel manager's interface. However, there is also the option to perform a manual "hard close" for room types. This manual action takes precedence over the automated system, and Visual Matrix will not override a hard close status. You can choose to hard close one or multiple room types, or you can use the "Apply Range" feature to specify the scope of the changes you want to make.
Path1: Front Office > Supervisor > System Maint > Channel Manager > Availability from the toolbox on the right

Close only one day at a time for one room type
1. If the date is not on the screen, choose the date to (hard) close.
2. Choose the rate plan you want to close.
3. Choose the overall line or a specific room type and date and click on the intersection field.
4. Choose "Hard".
5. Click OK.
To reopen, follow the same process and choose "Open" for the same date.
Close multiple dates or room types at once
1. Click on "Apply Range" at the bottom.
2. Select the date or date range to hard close.
3. Choose "Close".
4. Select the Rate Plan to close.
5. Check the room types you want to apply the rule to.
By choosing "Overall", you can apply the rule to multiple levels; However, if you choose to select specific room types, those will only be applicable to Level A. Only in Level A, can you select specific room types.
6. Click OK.
To re-open, follow the same process and choose "Open" for the same date(s).
