Update/Customize Preset Text for Signature Capture (Cloud)
This choice applies when you have a Signature Capture feature enabled on your credit card pinpad device or if you're using a tablet to check in a guest.
The Preset Text is the text that will show on the pinpad/tablet screen, same if it was on the registration card.
Path: Management > Property Settings > Forms
To update/customize this text, follow the next steps.
1. On the left side, in the "Registration Cards" section, click on "View" next to "Preset Text for Signature Capture".
2. Update the text.
When configuring for use on your pinpad device, it's best to steer clear of special characters such as quotation marks ("), backslashes (), and double quotes (" ") to ensure the text appears correctly on the EMV terminal.
3. Click Save in the Signature Capture window.
4. Click the green floppy disk at the top right to save the page modification.
5. The version displayed on the pinpad/tablet will mirror what you saved in the settings above, appearing as a single screen. Depending on the length of the text, the client will have the ability to scroll to read the entire content.
