Before your official go-live, there are key setup tasks you should complete to ensure your staff can use MOP smoothly from day one. These include readying devices, adding users, verifying login access, and familiarizing your team with MOP resources. Follow the checklist below to minimize disruptions on launch day. Here’s what to complete before go-live:
1. Get your Devices
Decide whether to let staff use their personal devices or provide dedicated ones. If providing devices, ensure they meet system requirements (camera, mic, connectivity), are fully charged, and have a shortcut or direct access to MOP ready to go.
If you are opting for dedicated property devices, establish an expedited access route to MOP by adding a shortcut on every device dashboard.
2. Gain knowledge about MOP and Visual Matrix support resources
Have your team review MOP courses at
VM University, and explore the
Knowledge Base and
VM Community. These resources often answer common questions and can help reduce support requests during go-live.
3. Add Your Staff to the Application - Non-Integrated Properties (not connected with your PMS)
For non-integrated properties (i.e. those not connected to a PMS), manually create user accounts in MOP 2.0. Be sure to assign the correct role and permissions to each user before go-live.
4. Add Your Staff to the Application - Integrated Properties (connected with your PMS)
For properties integrated with a PMS, the staff list is imported automatically into MOP. After import, verify and update each user’s profile (role, permissions) via MOP’s User Management module to ensure they can access required functions.
5. Make sure everyone can log in with their own username and password before their first shift
Verify that every user can log into MOP using their own credentials (mobile and/or desktop) ahead of their first shift.
If any login issues arise, contact the Client Experience team via help.visualmatrix.com.
