Add a Stay Request to the Wait List (Cloud) 🎥

A wait list allows you to capture and track guest reservation requests when your hotel is fully booked — so when rooms become available, you can offer them to those guests. Using the wait list helps you avoid losing potential business and more effectively manage demand. It’s important to note that the wait list is not automated; it must be reviewed regularly by staff to identify newly available slots.
Path: Front Office > Reservations > Wait List

Instructions

1. In the Wait List screen, click Add to create a new request.



2. Enter the guest’s contact details, stay dates, room type, and number of rooms.
Idea
Make sure required fields (in red) are filled so the request can be saved successfully.
3. Once all required fields are filled, click Save to submit the request to the wait list.


Warning
Be sure to enter all important details when adding the request, as they cannot be edited until the request becomes available to convert into a reservation.

4. After saving, the request’s Status is determined by the current availability:
- Avail: Rooms matching the request are available — you may proceed to create a reservation from this request.
- Pending: No suitable rooms are currently available. The request remains on hold until availability changes.
Idea
Regularly review the Pending requests when inventory changes (e.g., cancellations) so you can convert wait list entries to confirmed reservations.
